Te whakaaro o Kiddies Campus – Our Philosophy
We welcome you, the parents and extended whānau, into our Centre with a friendly, professional manner and encourage positive, open communication by listening, discussing and sharing information with your whānau to benefit your child’s educational journey at Kiddies Campus. This helps to establish continuity of care between our team and environment at the Centre, your home and your child’s surrounding community.
By getting to know and respect your child’s uniqueness we establish empowering relationships that develop self-confidence and provide them with opportunities to be active participants in their own learning, as well as ours, while nurturing your child’s overall well-being – hauora.
We believe that a child’s thinking and language develops as they interact with others and their environment. Out team at Kiddies Campus maintains a safe environment that provides challenging and fun learning experiences to encourage problem solving, investigation, predicting, researching, creativity and curiosity through collaboration with other children. Thus allowing your child to gain a sense of belonging and security within our community and your child’s extended community.
We implement the use of Te Reo Māori me ona tikanga Māori in the day to day life at our Centre as we recognise this as the unique tools each child brings to their learning and development.
Kiddies Campus staff understand young children and work cooperatively as a whānau to develop a sense of unity and common purpose to benefit the overall hauora of each child.
Our goal is to maintain an environment that encourages success, choice, exploration, collaboration and social interaction for each child, while nurturing and respecting their whānau.
